Training & Consultancy

Most organisations know they have gaps — in their RSE provision, their harassment response, their inclusion practice. What they often lack is someone with the clinical depth to address those gaps in a way that actually lands. I work with schools, organisations and businesses to deliver training and consultancy that goes beyond compliance and changes how people think, behave and treat each other.

I bring clinical expertise, direct professional experience and a values-led approach to every piece of training and consultancy I deliver. Whether you’re a school looking to strengthen your RSE provision, an organisation wanting to build a more genuinely inclusive culture, or a business navigating a specific challenge around harassment or safety, I can help.

“Prevention is not a luxury. The conversations that happen in schools and workplaces today are the reason some people never need to sit in a therapy room tomorrow.”

Areas of work

RSE and Sex Education

I have experience delivering relationships and sex education in schools and college settings — age-appropriate, evidence-informed and delivered without shame or judgement. Good RSE goes beyond biology and risk: it covers relationships, consent, bodies, identity, pleasure and diversity. I work with schools and colleges to develop and deliver RSE that young people actually engage with, and that meets statutory requirements without reducing the subject to a tick-box exercise. Young people leave with a framework for relationships and consent that stays with them — not just a lesson they sat through.

LGBTQ+ Inclusion and Affirmation

Training for organisations, businesses, schools and healthcare settings on what genuinely inclusive LGBTQ+ practice looks like — beyond the rainbow lanyard. This includes understanding LGBTQ+ identities and experiences, the impact of non-affirmation and microaggression, trans and non-binary inclusion, working with LGBTQ+ service users and staff, and building cultures where LGBTQ+ people feel genuinely welcome rather than merely tolerated. Delivered from a place of lived experience as well as clinical knowledge. Organisations come away with practical changes they can implement, not just awareness they can point to.

Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response

Training and consultancy for organisations and businesses on preventing, recognising and responding to sexual harassment. Since the Worker Protection Act 2023 placed a legal duty on employers to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment, this work has become not just ethically important but a legal requirement. I offer both training for staff and managers, and consultancy support for organisations navigating a specific complaint or concern — drawing on direct experience working with a business in exactly that situation. Organisations leave with a defensible position under the 2023 Act and a clearer culture — not just a training certificate.

Trauma-Informed Practice

For organisations and professionals working with people who have experienced trauma — including sexual violence, abuse, adverse childhood experiences and complex trauma. Training covers what trauma-informed practice actually means in different contexts, how to create trauma-aware environments, and how to support staff who are regularly exposed to traumatic material. Drawn from direct professional experience working with survivors of sexual violence in a charity context. Staff finish with a practical understanding of trauma they can apply the next day — not a framework that stays in the folder.

Employee Wellbeing — Therapy and Support

For businesses that want to go beyond statutory compliance and offer meaningful support to their people. I can work with organisations to provide individual therapy sessions for employees, facilitated group support sessions, or one-off wellbeing workshops on topics including stress, relationships, identity and sexual health. This is particularly well suited to organisations in the aftermath of a harassment complaint or culture review — where staff may need support that goes beyond what an EAP can offer — as well as those wanting to proactively invest in employee mental and sexual health as part of a wider wellbeing strategy.

Additional areas

I also deliver training on consent and healthy relationships, neurodiversity awareness, safeguarding and online safety (as a CEOP Ambassador), and bereavement in children and young people. If you’re looking for something not listed here, get in touch — bespoke packages are available across all areas.

Sexual harassment consultancy

The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 introduced a new proactive duty for employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. This isn’t a reactive obligation — it requires employers to anticipate risk, put preventative measures in place, and be able to demonstrate they have done so. Organisations that fail to meet this duty face increased tribunal awards as well as reputational risk.

I offer consultancy support to organisations navigating sexual harassment — whether that means responding to a specific complaint, reviewing existing policies and procedures, supporting a culture review, or advising on how to meet the proactive duty under the 2023 Act. I bring both clinical knowledge of the psychological impact of harassment and direct experience working with a business as a harassment consultant — which means I understand the organisational as well as the human dimensions of this work.

Consultancy engagement typically begins with an initial conversation to understand the organisation’s situation and what support is needed. From there, work might include reviewing the complaint or concern, advising on process and response, facilitating conversations between parties where appropriate, or working with leadership to understand what systemic changes might prevent recurrence. Every engagement is different — the approach is shaped by what the organisation actually needs.

This work is handled with the discretion and care it requires. I understand the sensitivity of harassment complaints for everyone involved — the person who has raised a concern, the person it has been raised against, and the organisation navigating between them. My approach is not to assign blame or adjudicate, but to support a process that is fair, informed and as humane as it can be.

Who I work with

The common thread isn’t sector — it’s organisations that take these subjects seriously and want provision that reflects that. I work with:

  • Schools and colleges — RSE, consent, LGBTQ+ inclusion, safeguarding
  • Charities and third sector organisations — inclusion, trauma-informed practice, staff wellbeing
  • Private businesses and corporates — sexual harassment prevention, LGBTQ+ inclusion, neurodiversity, employee wellbeing and therapy
  • NHS and healthcare settings — trauma-informed practice, LGBTQ+ affirming care, neurodiversity awareness
  • Local authorities — inclusion, safeguarding, staff training
  • Community groups and voluntary sector — bespoke packages available

How training is delivered

Half day workshops — typically 3 hours, focused on a single topic area

Full day workshops — deeper exploration of a topic, with space for reflection and discussion

Multi-session programmes — for organisations wanting sustained development over time

One-off talks and keynotes — for conferences, away days and staff development events

Ongoing consultancy retainer — for organisations wanting regular specialist input

Bespoke packages — designed around your specific needs, context and audience

Delivery

Training is primarily delivered online, with in-person delivery available to discuss depending on location and requirements. All training is adapted to your organisation’s context, sector and audience.

For commissioners

If you work in a commissioning role within the NHS, local authority or public sector and are looking for specialist training or consultancy provision, I welcome those conversations. I’m happy to discuss commissioned work, framework agreements and procurement processes — and to provide any documentation, credentials or references required.

The best starting point is an initial conversation to understand your requirements. From there I can advise on scope, format, timelines and costs, and provide whatever information your commissioning process needs.

What to expect

I’m not a professional trainer who has picked up clinical knowledge. I’m a clinician — a psychosexual therapist, counsellor and clinical sexologist — who trains. That distinction matters: everything I deliver is grounded in what I actually see in the therapy room, which means it reflects the real complexity of people’s lives rather than a sanitised or theoretical version of the subject.

As a queer, neurodivergent person I bring lived experience to training on LGBTQ+ inclusion and neurodiversity that generic providers simply don’t have. That’s not a replacement for clinical expertise — it’s an addition to it, and it changes the quality of the training.

My practice is rooted in anti-oppressive principles. That runs through every piece of training I deliver — the content, the approach, the language and the values it’s built on. You won’t get checkbox diversity training here. You’ll get something that takes the subject seriously and asks something of the people in the room.

I believe in preventative work. Every session delivered in a school or workplace is potentially the reason someone doesn’t end up in crisis. That conviction shapes how I work — with energy, with care and with a genuine investment in the outcome.
